Nobody would like, or needs the very best of anything. It does not matter, be it digital camera models, automobiles, houses, or jet planes. What we should want and expect, is value for the money. If I am likely to spend 0 for any camera, i quickly better get 0 price of features and quality from that camera. Basically spend 00 on the camera, i quickly better get 00 worth back too. Should you consume a couple of simple rules, you will see how easy it's for the greatest camera for the investment.
Acclaimed sci-fi author Theodore Sturgeon was famous for a few adages referred to as Sturgeons Laws and regulations. My personal favorite, and also the one best to the discussion is, "90 percent of all things is garbage." It is rather simple, direct and extremely honest. Additionally, it really helps limit our search. When the camera your searching at is this is not on a minumum of one top list, then drop it out of your search. Whether it does not have a minimum of a four star review from someone, then drop if off your list. You will find a lot of cameras to select from nowadays, there is no have to be satisfied with anything less then your best.
The 2nd step, and a bit more effort intensive, may be the trial run phase. You have to check out as most of the cameras in your now very narrow your search (because of Theodore) as you possibly can. Spend each day, and blitz your preferred camera stores. Visit 2 or 3, and merely annoy and pepper the sales people with as numerous questions and demands as possible. Should you go throughout off hrs, you need to have the time and space to test all of the cameras you would like. Try to cajole them into allowing you to have a couple of home to test. Following this exercise, your narrow your search ought to be really short. Possibly even a listing of just one.
Obviously when the above appears prefer to much meet your needs slackers available, here's my narrow your search of great cameras which are all money wisely spent. Within the under 0 category, canon's PowerShot A570IS. It is a simple compact digital with 4x contact lens, image stabilization, and Canon reliability. For that portability minded ultra compact Facebook crowd, you cannot fail using the Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph. Slightly less picture quality then your A570IS, and a little more costly, but an easy traveler. Another favorite compact of mine may be the Olympus Stylus 790SW. The only real waterproof, shockproof, dust proof, and freeze proof camera I understand.
